Lieutenant Kinis, a Vulcan junior officer at Starfleet Academy, was the role played by a member of Species 8472 in a war game.
He took part in a training facility created by Species 8472 in the Delta Quadrant in 2375. They were preparing for a possible invasion into Federation space. The Kinis re-creation served as an aide to the re-creation of Admiral Bullock. (VOY: "In the Flesh")
Kinis was played by Dieter Hornemann.
It is unclear if Kinis was real or if Species 8472 created the persona. The Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 419) described the persona created by Species 8472 as a re-creation of Lieutenant Kinis.
