Copy all .WAV files into the Star Trek Armada II\Sounds\Ingame directory
Copy magel.odf into the Star Trek Armada II\ODF\Ships directory
Copy magel.sod into the Star Trek Armada II\SOD directory
Copy magel.tga and gbfmagel.tga into the Star Trek Armada II\Textures\RGB directory

Go into "fyard2.odf" (in ODF\stations) with Notepad (or some other text editor)
Go to the end of the line that says buildItem* = "shipname"
(if you haven't modded anything before, it'll be buildItem3 = "fbattle")
Hit ENTER, then in the new line you made, type:
buildItem* = "magel"
The * will be the next buildItem number
It should look like this:
buildItem3 = "fbattle"
buildItem8 = "magel"

Then open up fulltech.tt (in the Star Trek Armada II\techtree folder)
At the end of the federation ship list (default is fgalaxy.odf 0), hit ENTER and type in:
magel 0
It should look like this:
fgalaxy.odf 0
magel.odf 0

While you're in the techtree folder, open up tech1.tt
Go to the end of the "Federation Ships" list
Default is:
fspecial.odf 1 fyard2.odf fresear2.odf // special (nebula class)
Go to the end of that line, hit ENTER and type in:
magel.odf 0 // Magellan gunship
It should look like this:
fspecial.odf 1 fyard2.odf fresear2.odf // special (nebula class)
magel.odf 0 // Magellan gunship

Open gui_global.spr in the Star Trek Armada II\Sprites folder and search for this line:

# Federation build buttons
now got to @reference=64 and add following line
b_magel gbfmagel 0 0 64 64

This ship is one of two ships I'm releasing as a sneak-peek at my upcoming mod, Gundam Armada. Based off of the Mobile Suit Gundam universe, it will be a massive undertaking.
