Fingers retextured his already excellent Rhode Island model, and it has never looked better Smile


Uss Rhode island2

I have decided to retexture the rhode island that i made a while ago as i hated the texture and the stretches hence would not use the sod! I personally think that this texture is much better still has issues with parts but there is little to no texture stretches now! The model still has some issues but i will not have time to fix them for a while!

This is not a mod for armada 2 but does contain a model for armada 2!
there is no odf file, no wireframe. This is made as a replacement for my old rhode island!

This zip file contains the rhode island, a High res textures with alpha channel.

put the sod in the sod directory and the picture in TEXTURES/RGB

You will need the whatever the hell version of the last rhode island and rename the sod in this file for that one and put it in the sod directory!

if you need modding help there is westworlds big book of modding!

If you wish to use this model in your own mod you can! there would be little point in me making it otherwise!

All the modeling credits go to captain fingers.

The texture was not entirely by meand based from pictures and cut and pastes from all over the place no idea where!

The deflector looks odd in that pic.Or is it just the way it looks in the pic?

It is under AVM rhode island (i think!) there is a build button etc etc!

The Rhode Island is a subtype of the Nova that was seen in an alternate reality; there isn't all that much difference apart from:

1. The secondary deflector on the saucer bulges outward instead of folds inward

2. The nacelle fins have been removed

3. The primary deflector has been modified

hehe something just occured to me: Captain Kim never mentioned what class his vessle was; he just called it the Rhode Island. So for all we know (and this is pretty likely as far as I see it) the Rhode Island was just a refitted Nova class. It was a bit more powerful but remember the Nova class WAS part of the original Definant Pathfinder project or so im told....makes you wonder...
