Another release from me here.. I'm not really a fan of non-canon ships. A lot of them simply don't look Federation to me, however, the Excalibur is one of which I do like, and have taken a shine too. Those of you that have been paying attention on the Forums will have seen this ship before, in the thread I created about poly reducing, and then re-releasing her.

Everything should be in order with this one, at least, everything I've done. You will need to add it to the Tech Tree & AI Files etc if you expect it to work fully, though for what I've provided, it'll work fairly well with.

Again, a ship that I may have in Zero Hour (along with the Achilles), though that is still undecided. I trust those of you that download and use this will get your enjoyment out of it. Wink

Excalibur Class Exploration Vessel

The Next Great Experiment
------------------------------

In 2300, the Federation Starship USS Excelsior NX-2000 was given a new design of warp drive, this was named Transwarp, and whilst unsuccessful due to internal issues, the project was not cancelled, but rather put on hold.

It wasnt until much later, and with the encounter of the Borg that Starfleet once again opened up research for Transwarp drive, using the same type of travel seen by the Borg. In addition to the new drive, it was decided that a new classification of ship would be needed for the project, thus, the Excalibur was created.

The Excalibur Class is the biggest Starship that Starfleet had to offer, rivalling that of the Romulan DDeridex & Dominion Battlecruiser in size, and making her mark in the quadrant. Not only was the Excalibur created for the testing of new travel, but also the purpose of the ultimate exploration vessel.

She could handle many threats, and with all the room on board, could house many civilians, science labs, observatories and such, making her the ultimate ship of exploration.

The .odf file has the hardpoints in place (all 92 of them), along with the tool tips and stats. However, the size of the vessels may need altering.

General stats, tech information, and sprites etc haven't been included, thus it is down to you (the user) to put them in place.

Usage:
------------------------------

This model may be used in other projects, providing that I am contacted and asked before hand, and that all the proper credit is given upon re-release. Again, this model has taken up a considerable amount of my time, and I wouldnt want people to releasing it without my knowledge.

Don't assume that you can use these models for individual releases, or include them in additional projects without authorisation.

Ok, the problem should now be solved, and the ship should be downloadable as it once was, with all the files in tact. I've just downloaded it, and everything appears to be in order for me. :-)

A very impressive model of the Excalibur, but what's the correct scale? Is it 1,000 meters long or what?
