A nice refit of the previously completed Prometheus class starship, with MVAM enabled, using the 1.2.5 patch. Icewolf's gone out of his way to refit this one in time for the contest, and the results are spectacular. This design is a community favourite and the results in this version of it speak for themselves.

Honestly, there were so many fantastic entries in this year's modding contest it was hard to choose only one. With work of this quality, we're hoping that maybe next year will be Icewolf's turn to win it.

Check this one out even if you have the original.

Prometheus Class Refit, V1.0

Though it exceed all expectations during it's first shakedown cruise and the incident with the Romulans, flaws within it's design were quickly pointed out through the first half of the Dominion war. With additional weapons array, reinforced armor, and an revised systems, the Refitted Prometheus class quickly became a lethal yet expensive asset to the Federation.

Please note though, that the PP 1.2.5 patch is requred for MVAM support.

1 - Installation


Extract the contents of the Prometheus_Refit_Files folder into your Armada II Directory.

Afterwards, if you wish to have Green Borg textures, extract the contents of the Green_Borg_Textures folder into your Armada II Directory.

Wow, fantastic ship man. I personally don't use the patch but I did download and take a look at the odf and textures, great stuff you've got there! Can't wait to see some of the stuff you start coming out with!

Reintegration causes a CTD. Any help would be most welcomed. All the other things work fine.

I went back and test both Prometheus classes on a clean install of Armada II with both the 1.1 and 1.2.5 patches installed, and it work out fine. So I know it's not in the files provided. Did you install the ship onto a modded version of Armada or add in the ship manually? A bit of information on how you installed it would be helpful :o


Also, please use the forums next time, you get quicker replies there ;-)

I put in the ship manually because I had a modded version of a2, separation works, all the sections work fine but re-integration causes a CTD. All the files are in the right places. I don't know what I'm doing wrong

Make sure that the multiReqClass entries are the same as the ship's ODF names in the gMVAM2_int ODF under Special Weapons (Should be fprom2alpha, fprom2beta, and fprom2gamma). If that checks out, post the contents of that file in the Prometheus thread and I'll see what's up :-)

Sadly my computer won't let me have MVAM, but it's still a great ship even in one piece.
