Ffrigate by Aad Moerman
It's Aad Moerman's turn to take a run at re-building the almost universally disliked Aegian class. There are some major modifications to the design, unlike Dan1025's recent release, which focused on making the existing shape work. Aad has modified and enlarged the saucer section, changed the look of the vessel, and just generally done the best that can be done with the sad little design. Perhaps best of all, the crew complement has increased to 200, since as Aad points out, there's no reason a frigate has a crew complement on par with a destroyer. It's gotta have more crew or it doesn't make sense.
This is a nice alternative design for the Aegian class, and hopefully you'll like it WAAAY better than the original. Download it today!

As I noticed, dan1025 beat me to it. Anyway, this is my version of the Aegian class frigate. I disliked the design from the first moment, I saw the ship in the game.
The saucersection is larger and I made some more changes.
I changed her size as well, as she has a crew of 200. She must be larger than a destroyer.
Important Note:
Make a backup of your existing files, because the files in this folder will overwrite the stock files!

Installation instructions
put the sod files into the sod folder, the odf files into the odf ship folder,
and the tga into the texture RGB folder. ( I include the MS3D files for those who are interested.)
Open Bitmaps --> open Admiralslog --> open ShipImages and put the image there.

find the lines:

Well yes, the Aegian class is an almost universally disliked ship... I am one of the people that is not in that group... I always liked the design, I also liked it's sovereign class-like impulse engines. Now I see this ship and I began drooling! because it has the Aegian's nacelles, the impulse engines... but it also looks like a smaller sibling of the Sovereign class! What else could you ask for?
only one think, why are the green lights on the left side?
So this frigate has more crew than a destroyer?
Shouldn't it be the other way around?
Destroyers are larger vessels than frigates.
