Adds the Federation Shadow class to Armada 2, not to be confused with the Romulan Shadow Class


hi all i think you will like this mod it adds the federation shadow class

all caps leters put in lower case
put the tga files in Textures/Rgb folder
fshadow.odf file in odf/ships folder
fshadow.sod file in the sod folder
the fshadow.bmp file in the bitmaps/AdmiralsLog/ShipImages folder
the fyard2.odf file in the odf/stations folder
the freetech.tt in the techtree folder

I recently finished reading a book entitled "Federation" involving stories from both Kirk's time and Picard's time... mostly revolving around Zefram Cochrane (creator of the the superimpellor) and his creations. Kirk often mentioned, when looking at a ship with three nacelles, as having no use other than a sleeker design and only gave them a slight power increase because the amount of generators did not produce a more stable warp field... The only reason why they would create more than two on one ship would be for emergency speeds or back-up systems in case the others fail...

That is true of most ships in star trek....However the Future Enterprise D's warp design was for speeds over warp 10. The enterprise couldent go over warp 10 till that 3rd nacell was added. The design was working and was faster than the 2 warp design but took up a lot more enegry and needed more "cooling" time than a 2 warp. So it comes down to weather you value endurance and effency or speed and menuveribility. Eather way the federation prefers long time warp jumps and not short term quick boosts. Thoes other 2 warp nacells are more than likelly offline most of the time unless in battle. Its a nice mod though.

Ho, hum. The future enterprise D (from "All Good Things&quot ;-) , was something that Q put together as an alternative timeline. The actual refit of the Galaxy Class vessel was seen in several episodes of DS9. Also if what your saying is true then explain the USS Pasteur (captained by Beverley Crusher in that episode), which is a twin warp nacelled ship, and Beverley Picard (name change) ordered the ship to be taken to "warp 13". Same as the Future Ent-D.

If you read closley i said"The enterprise couldent go over warp 10 till that 3rd nacell was added". That 3rd nacell was probally a new design. The ships other 2 warpnacells were still the original ones. The pasteur had new warp nacells and a design to match. It didnt need a 3rd one so the design didnt come with one....as i said before their is no real need for more than 2 warp nacells other than as a backup.....or as a quick refit.

Warp 10 is the fastest speed you can go in TNG because you are everywhere at once. The Pasteur could go at warp 13 because the warp scalling had changed again so that warp 10 was not the fastest.

Brand new to this stuff but possibly there was another warp scale recalibration as in the time between TOS and TNG but as was said before that whole timeline was a construct of Q's. Love the mod tho man it looks mean. 4 nacelles make a ship look more aggressive I think. Lol not meaning to sound like a nerd but I have too much free time and the encyclopedia :-)
