That's what Pizza the Hut said in the e-mail and I'm finding it very difficult to argue with it. It mops the floor entirely with the stock repair ship which although good, this one is just far superior. It also fits in with the idea that the useful TMP era ships remained in service into the TNG era (Excelsior, albeit with refits), Miranda (same principle) and of course the Oberth from which this is based.

It is generally very good and for a kitbash very nice but my only gripe, could be yours too, is the third nacelle, or what looks like one. Regardless of this, a very nice piece of work and definitely a worthy replacement. If you don't have a good replacement already, this is definitely the one for you.


TMP era repair ship by Pizza the Hutt




Installation:
-------------

Copy the file fsrepair2.sod into the SOD folder
Copy the .tga files into the Textures > RGB folder
Copy the file fsrepair2.odf into the ODF > ships folder
Copy the file fsrepair2.bmp into the Bitmaps > Admiralslog folder

Open the file fbase.odf
To be built from) and insert the line: buildItemXX = "fsrepair2" under
build Parameters below the last ship to be build
XX being the next unused number

Save that file

Open "tech 1" from the Techtree folder and insert this line:

fsrepair2.odf 1 fbase.odf

Save this file, open "fulltech.tt" and insert the following line

fsrepair2.odf 0

Then save and open "GUI_global.spr" from the sprites folder

Then add this line under federation build buttons:

b_oberthvar gbfoberthvar 0 0 64 64


For the wireframe add these lines into the gui global under wireframes:

@reference=128
@tmaterial=interface

fsrepair2w1 Foberthvarwire 40 0 40 40
fsrepair2w2 Foberthvarwire 0 40 40 40
fsrepair2w3 Foberthvarwire 40 40 40 40
fsrepair2w4 Foberthvarwire 80 0 40 40

Well, it's a nice simple add-on I wouldn't mind having, but the texture for this ship overwrites the texture for the Oberth Class ship if anyone has it in their game's version and it doesn't match very well(unfortunately). :P

Now all we need is a replacement TMP construction ship and mining freighter and theres enough stuff on the site for a total TMP conversion .........

An oberth with a third nacelle that acts as a repair ship? Nice!
