Hello,
this is a new model made by me: The Triton Class Missile Cruiser.

It is an interesting TMP-design and was originaly created in 1989 by
Brad R. Torgersen, who runs a pretty interesting website with information on the old
FASA Star Trek Starship Tactical Combat Simulator.

So the main-credits for this ship go to Mr. Torgersen.

Best Regards
R5D5

Install instructions:
=========================================================
<First BACKUP the files of your STAR TREK: ARMADA II game!>

Copy the ODF files into your ODF folder. If you use the demo,
copy the "SHIP-ODF" in "STATION" folder. Do NOT overwrite
or replace anything!
Copy the SOD files into the SOD folder.
Copy the TGA Files into the Textures/RGB folder.

----------------------------------------------------------
"Sprites"
----------------------------------------------------------
Open "gui_global.spr" and insert under "# Federation etc..."
the lines beginning with "-->", of course without the "-->" .
Maybe you have to add the "@reference=256"
lines if they do not exist.

# Federation build buttons
@reference=64

--> b_ftritonTMP gbftritonTMP 0 0 64 64

# Federation wireframes
@reference=256
@tmaterial=interface

--> ftritonTMPw1 WFftritonTMP 0 0 256 256

----------------------------------------------------------
"techtree"
----------------------------------------------------------
Insert in "tech1":

ftritonTMP.odf 0 // Triton Class (TMP)

----------------------------------------------------------
Open "fulltech.tt" and insert the following lines:

ftritonTMP.odf 0

----------------------------------------------------------
"odf"
----------------------------------------------------------
Open odf--->stations--->"anystation" (e.g.: "fbase.odf" or
"fyard.odf") and insert:

buildItemX = "ftritonTMP"

(replace X with a number)

r5d5. Dont take this the wrong way, as your modelling and texturing skills are pretty dam good. My beef is with the original concept. It looks way to front heavy and the overall design looks awful.

I do not feel offended at all. People like it - or don´t like it. A lot of the FASA or FASA-related design-concepts look... a bit weird (especially the TNG-designs).

The good thing is: if you don´t like it, you can blow it up in your game. :-)

Again.

Again.

And again.

This is one cool design, I personally plan to build it at some point. Your rendition of her is fantastic Rock

R5, What is the website that you mentioned this design was from?

@ MrIrksome: Check out the readme, the URL is mentioned in the "Credits-Section" (the seventeenth row from the bottom) ... or here :-)

As said, it´s a nice site that features extensive informations about the "FASA Star Trek Starship Tactical Combat Simulator".

The design never really appeals to me but it does make up its ability to blow up stuff!

Awesome 10/10
