The Araxes class Destroyer is a destroyer first introduced to us in StarFleet Command Volume II : Orion Pirates.

Introduced into service some while after the Excelsion class these ships replaced the obsolete Akula class warships. The Araxes carried considerably more firepower than destroyers had done to date, thanks to new heavy photon tubes and a new class of phaser. In fact, when they were introduced if one of these ships were to engage a Heavy Cruiser in single combat it would almost certainly defeat it decisively.

This ship is balanced to Miranda's personal mod so it might need some ODF editing to fit into your installation.

In V2.0 this ship is a Destroyer also this ship is ballanced to my personal mod so odf editing may be needed.
The Araxes Class Destroyer is a variant of the aging Akula Class and soon after these ships began to be constructed the Araxes Class replaced the Akula Class. Armed with Powerfull Phasers and Torpedos a fleet of these ships could take out any threat in its time. Many years after these ships had started being built, Starfleet stoped constructing this class along with many other class's as new ships were being designed and constructed. Few Araxes still exist but the ones that do were refited with the latest technology.
