Repulsion Wake Repulsion Wake

I made this mod because I hate how pathetic the Aegian-class is in Armada II... Does that fracking Shield-Emitter even work?!?! It doesn't seem to... so I gave it an extra weapon in hopes of making it semi-useful. For those of you who love the Shield-Emitter and find it helpful (do such people exist?), the Aegian-class can still use it.

RANT ABOUT THE MOD:

If you really want to use this mod for some mod you're coming up with, go ahead and use it without my permission... I find it bothersome to go looking for people just to get permission to use something as simple as this, so I’m not gonna be a hypocrite.

If, for some god-awful reason, you end up having to get permission from me, my email is:

INFO:
This adds the Repulsion Wake to the Aegian-class. It is VERY similar to the Repulsion Wave the Klingons use in that it knocks out enemy engines momentarily. The only difference is that the Repulsion Wake affects all enemy ships in the area, as appose to only one select ship.

FILES INCLUDED:
ODF:
ffrigate.odf
grepwake.odf
repwake.odf
wrepwake1.odf
wrepwake2.odf
TEXTURES:
gbrepwake00.tga
TECHTREE:
tech1.tt
fulltech.tt
SPRITES:
gui_global.spr

INSTILLATION:
Pretty simple to install... Just add the folders (odf, Sprites, techtree, & Textures) into the "Star Trek Armada II" folder.
This mod was made for use with a PATCHED version of Armada II... however it will probably work with the original Armada II.

If, for some reason, you don't wish to over-write your gui_global.spr, tech1.tt, or fulltech.tt files with the ones included for this mod (which would be the case if you have already modded your game and don't wish to lose anything you've done), then just add these lines into their proper folders:

// Used in gui_global.spr
b_grepwake gbrepwake00 0 0 64 64

// Used in tech1.tt
grepwake.odf 0 // repulsion wake

// Used in fulltech.tt
grepwake.odf 0

I like, a literal revesal of the shield enhancer. Very nice, albeit simple. Definitely worth downloading.

If you don't use the Aegean, change the ship which uses the weapon, simple.

I've downloaded it now, and it's better than I expected. Aegian owns in a fleet now.

That's not a stock Aegien class in the pic is it?

The stock looks so much worse then that, where'd you get it?

cool weapon BTW.

The Aegian in the pick is indeed the stock model provided by Activision. I think my graphics card is just kicking the crap out of my A2 game to the point where everything looks semi-better.... >_>

I, truthfully, have no clue why it looks better than usual... -_-" Glad peeps like the weapon, tho.

Aegians have the best stock textures in the game if you zoom up, the level of detail is pretty nice. I always thought the Aegians were pretty weak and I love the design so I've already add more special weapons, this will deffinetly go on.

Great weapon! 8)

This will get used a lot but not by the Aegian!
