Hello, and thank you for downloading this. A long while back, Dan1025 did a model of the BattleStar Pegasus which he released to Starbase34 members to play with. I became completely fascinated with her and made the rest of the files needed to bring this great warrior completely into A2. The most aggravating and most rewarding part was doing her weapons loadout. After some MSN conversations with Chiletrek I came up with a fair approximation of the "bullet showers". I still have not achieved the "flak burst" effect from the proximity warheads(hence the "0.9" designation). After long research and numerous experiments I realized A2 is probably not going to allow me to recreate this without using a SOD based weapon, which would increase lag significantly or hacking the executable, which means I could not then share the weapons with all of you. I suppose I could write another hook file, a la FlOps. But there is not much point in doing something which Doca Cola and his team do a whole lot better than I can. The one thing I could not yet do and had not yet figured out was how to allow either Pegasus or Galactica to engage multiple targets with burst fire. After some thinking and digging and tinkering, I have managed to achieve this. These have some of the usual multi targeting weapon flaws but they are minor or at least well known. Once either or both BattleStars are fully engaged with the enemy they are not all that noticable. The maximum number of targets is set at two because if I set it at three, then Raider attacks last all of two seconds.

A patch which contains everything needed to install and use the weapons odf files within.

WHAT THIS MOD IS NOT

Tested for compatability with either FLOPs or PP 1.2.5. My laptop cannot play FLOPs so I saw no sense in trying to it with these. I cannot answer ANY questions concerning using these files and FLOPs or PP 1.2.5. If you want to try use these weapons with FLOPs or PP1.2.5 you do so with the prior understanding I cannot help you with, nor be held accountable or responsible for, any problems which arise from combining or using these weapons with either of them.

The screenshot is from my personal install. I run a modified version of MU v2.0 because my lap top makes those ugly girly-man squealy noises whenever I try to run it set on full.

If the above statements mean you now dislike this, I am okay with this. I made this for me in the first place.

POTENTIAL PROBLEMS

This patch has not been tested for compatability with either PP1.2.5 or FLOPs. My laptop cannot play FLOPs so I saw little sense in checking this. This mod was checked for viruses and completeness before upload. If it does not work correctly the first time, please go back and read the Installation Instructions. Then install this map again AFTER you read the Installation Instructions.

First off, nice work on this mod. It was a bit strange using ST weapons on BSG ships. Nicely done =)


Is there any chance that a similar weapons pack will be made for Cylon Raiders & Basestars? I've downloaded the chaingun created by Blindeye01 for the raiders and the Nuke & Missle created by draconis_sharp for the basestar, but nothing compares to a mod like this.

As far as the Cylon weapons, I cheated. I changed the color and sound of the viper pulse and adjusted the rate of fire a little. This does a more than passable Raider weapon. As to missiles, I am still trying to get something which I like. No joy so far.
