This is aretexture of the stock klingon B'Rel class, try it out and see if you like it.

Chuq'Beh & B'rel class Modified Texture for Star Trek: Armada 2 by CenturionV (ijbarrow@yahoo.com)

====GENERAL INFO====

I got sorta sick of the Boring & unrealistic red/green texture on the A2 Chuq'Beh(k'vort) and Bird of Prey class, so I popped the textures into Paint shop pro, and used various tools to modify the originals to be a bit more attractive (and klingon like), note this IS NOT a new model, just 2 new textures for the original ships. There is a green one (my favorite) and a yellowish-green one that is a bit more true to the way it looked in the series, however does not really look as good in game in my opinion.
I have no real Experience in texturing of any type I just did this for fun one night when I was bored.

====INSTALLATION====

Obviously you will need some kind of zip file extractor to open this file in the first place like winRAR or winZIP. (http://www.winzip.com/)

Make sure to back up any files you plan on installing over should you change your mind later.

There are 6 total files (not including this readme).
K_BirdofPrey.tga.green
K_BirdofPrey_1.tga.green
K_BirdofPrey_2.tga.green
K_BirdofPrey.tga.yellow
K_BirdofPrey_1.tga.yellow
K_BirdofPrey_2.tga.yellow

The files marked yellow/green respectively are the modified textures. to use any of them for the Chuq'Beh(k'vort) class simply remove the "green" or "yellow" parts and overwrite the original files you your Star Trek Armada II/Textures/RGB folder.

To use them for the Standard Bird of Prey(B'rel) class, rename the textures for the color you want to use "kdestroy.tga" "kdestroy_1.tga" and "kdestroy_2.tga" without qoutes and include and overwrite in your Star Trek Armada II/Textures/RGB folder. You can use these in conjunction with one another, For instance you could have the B'rel green, and the Chuq'Beh yellow or vice versa it doesn't matter, simply copy and rename the files you want to use.

Any problem feel free to email me at ijbarrow@yahoo.com though I don't check it to often.

And check out the two best Armada 1/Armada 2 sites on the net http://armada2.filefront.com/ & http://www.armadafleetcommand.com/afc/

All credit goes to Activision as they made the original textures, feel free to use this in your mods as you please as long as you do not profit from it, simply credit me with the modification of the original if you plan on releasing it. And give me a ring, I might want to try it out myself =)

None to shabby. A bit to green for my liking but still. its certainly a change from the stock set.

I thought the only problem the stock had was too big...anyhow it is I think a bit green, but other than that- :thumbsup:

Ensign: Sir! Radiation readings just jumped off the charts!

Captain: What!? Status report: location and cause!

Ensign: Location: from that B'rel class vessel that just dropped out of warp sir! Probable cause: bad paint job!

Captain:!

Captain: Ugh... that paint job is hideous! Where did they get that done? And why is it glowing green?

I think the darker version of this is is closer to cannon than the stock. nice job.
