Quote:
I got the idea for this map from William Shatner's novel
"Star Trek: Dark Victory" in which he describes what happened in the
mirror Battle of Wolf 359 and to the mirror Earth.
The Imperial Fleet fought the Klingon/Cardassian Alliance at
Wold 359; the Imperial's were destroyed. The K/C advanced to Earth and
bombarded the surface for days, vaporizing the Great Lakes and other
small landlocked water. Hardly anything survived the bombardment.

THis is like um... its like running into a TFC then warping throught a planet and into a black hole, thats what happened to me anyways Wink really cool and "challenging" map to play very nice.

"The Mirror Battle of Wolf 359"

Background:
I got the idea for this map from William Shatner's novel
"Star Trek: Dark Victory" in which he describes what happened in the
mirror Battle of Wolf 359 and to the mirror Earth.
The Imperial Fleet fought the Klingon/Cardassian Alliance at
Wold 359; the Imperial's were destroyed. The K/C advanced to Earth and
bombarded the surface for days, vaporizing the Great Lakes and other
small landlocked water. Hardly anything survived the bombardment.
---------------------------------------------------
Installation:
1) Unzip the folder to desktop or other temporary directory.
2) Place all files marked "muwolf359" in the .bzn directory.
3) Right click on the icon that launched Armada 2 and click "Properties".
4) At the end of the target line, type "muwolf359.bzn"
5) Load the game
6) Enjoy!
--------------------------------------------------
Special Information:
1) There is one secret located somewhere on the map. You will, however
need a special mod in order to see it. (No, I can't tell you the name of
the mod b/c that would give the secret away :))
((HINT: It is somewhere in the lower half of the map))
2) There are 4 separate enemy fleets, each very powerful. There is one
"Capital Fleet" which contains the Regent's Negh'Var.
BE WARNED:
This map has been designed as a no-win scenario. That does not mean,
however, that the map cannot be beat; it's just very difficult!
--------------------------------------------------
Requirements :
1) In order to get the full effect. the following mod(s) are required (RE) or
recommended (RC):

(RE) - Norway mini-mod, V 1.0 For Armada II
By Deemon & Westworld of APOC Entertainment LTD

(RC) - Pneumonic81's Intrepid Class
-------------------------------------------------
Special Thanks:
-Pneumonic81's Intrepid Class
-Norway mini-mod, V 1.0 For Armada II
By Deemon & Westworld of APOC Entertainment LTD
-Sherman2's Xindi Aquatic Dreadnaught
and MarianoDT for the orginal BC form
------------------------------------------------

Coming soon to your computer.....

Could you possibly make a version of this map that doesn't require any mods to be downloaded? I downloaded the one required mod (Norway mini-mod, V 1.0 For Armada II) & it (the map) wouldn't work. And, to be honest, I highly doubt the Terran Empire would have much use for a Xindi-Aqautic dreadnought, especially considering that said ship would be obselete at the time of the battle. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm simply saying that not everyone has (or is willing) to download 3 mods just to make one map work. BTW, what is a "TFC"?

Yea, it would be nice to have a map that doesn't require a bunch of extras (I know I hate it! :P ) The "requirements" aren't really "required"; those ships just add to the map (they are apart of the main fleet). I don't believe you absolutely need them.

Oh, and the Xindi Aqua ship was just a bonus; again, not a necesary mod. Thank you for your comment. :-)

On another topic, I will be starting the other maps mentioned in the readme soon. I hope to have at least one of them released by the end of the year; now that the mirror NX has been released, it will make my map-making a lot easier! 8)

(PS - that's a good question -- what is a TFC?)

:P

looking over the readme and stuff, and can see a few mistakes. That's what I get for working on this thing all night and submitting it at 4 in the bloody morning!

Now, the title is just hilarious...

I tried to follow the instructions to start the map so that I could run it but I kept getting the same error message. I would really like to run this map-can you tell me exactly how the darn thing is supposed to look like on the target line please? :o

This is the first time in months I've check this file, so you picked a good time to post! This is what it should look like in the target line:

C :P rogram FilesActivisionStar Trek Armada IIArmada2.exe" / muwolf359.bzn

Try it with or without the spaces--I don't remember exactly how it's typed. Let me know if this helps.
