this looks like a cool mod, it allows you to add rings to any of the planets in A2, I'll be keeping this in my game, it gives some great views.

Hi all, thanks for checking out the Planetary Rings by Slider17

For all you map editors/creators out there, here’s some eye candy to spice up those battlefields!

Features:
· Includes 9 different kinds of rings with installation instructions
· No interference with ships or normal construction zones
· New mini-map icon
· Gentle rotation through space

(And if you don’t mind editing the odf files...)
· Resizable no-warp zone
· Adjustable ring diameter
(no-warp zone and ring size are independently adjustable)
· Planet gravity
· Many other options you may want to explore

Recommended usage:
· Place the rings on any uninhabitable planet. Colonies won’t work on ringed planets, so class J is advisable.*
· Keep the vertical height at zero. When the map is loaded, they default to it.
· Play with the pitch and roll of the rings.
· Build around the rings, the orbital stations have no problem, nor do the freighters. Plus, the cinematic window will sometimes show some stunning views!

* Planets not included

Very nice. I give you my 10/10 reserved for only the best of mods imo. But how do colonies and rings go together? No reason why a large terrestrial/habitable planet can't have rings.
