This is the best planet mod out there. Why? The planets look beautiful, I didnt mess up your game by presumming to know what was best for other people by adding weapons/etc to these planets like some people do, they don't replace/affect any of the existing planets, and its very easy to install.

Check out the readme for a full list of planets!

BPM v1.0
----------

This is the best planet mod out there. Why? The planets look beautiful, I didnt
mess up your game by presumming to know what was best for other people by
adding weapons/etc to these planets like some people do, they dont
replace/affect any of the existing planets, and its very easy to install.

What you get:

This mod cotains the following planets(which correspond to the numbers
in the provided pictures):

1. Earth
2. The Moon
3. Qo'nos(Kronos)
4. Romulus
5. Remus
6. Cardassia Prime
7. Ferenginar
8. Borg Homeworld(Collective Core)
9. Founder Homeworld
10. Jem'Hadar Homeworld
11. Vulcan
12. Bajor

-----------

This mod does not replace any in game planets, or change them in any way
at all. In the map editor these planets will not be listed in the standard
planets list, but are found in the 'named planets' list, which was
previously empty.

-----------

Installation:

Simply sellect and copy the three folders (odf, SOD, and Textures) and
paste them in your main Armada 2 directory. They wont overrite any existing
files.

------------

I plan on re-doing the textures of the standard 6 planets as well as adding
6 more 'normal'(not homeworld) planets to the game which will give you
12 planets in the 'standard' list in addition to the 12 in the 'named' list
you get with this mod, which will leave people with a total of 24 different,
beautiful planets to play with, so keep an eye out for that too.

Regards,

Jack Sparrow

The planets look very very nice, but the Collective Core sucks... It looks like a big, desd rock, and it is described not like this in novels I read...

But it's still a good change, so: good work

These look familiar. I think I saw them at Armada Fleet Command.

Number 6 and 7 look awfully familiar...

Yeh, I only changed the tone and sharpness of the existing planet textures to get those, but I thought they looked like what I wanted already, so there was no need to change anything. But dont worry, that wont mean you have two sets of planets that look like two sets of other planets... at least not if you download the Best Planet Mod v2(comming soon), which will replace the 6 standard planets w/ better looking ones, and add 6 more standard planets(as discussed in the readme w/ this mod)

Always good to see more planets. I've done a few myself, like 200. :-) Keep it up since A2 is only as good and fun as are the maps and planets make the maps.Rock

Looks quite familiar...from SFC2, in fact. Give credit where credit is due.

8 is a Borg Death Star, wth...

and yea, I'm dead sure these are from the SFCs with some retext. Nice to see someone still uses them ;-)
